A Daily Newspaper reveals its secret life!
Memoir of a Newspaper by Janice Abel
If your daily newspaper could talk as it rolled through its day, have you ever wondered what it might say? Well there is one that can talk, so read this story and listen to the tale that it tells! This newspaper’s day begins with delivery in the rain, his headlines ripped from the rest of his body, but Dad discovers his son’s picture is in the paper; Josh has won a skateboard competition! So what all happens to this daily news? All in the life of a newspaper, what do you expect?
This short story is good to motivate and get students involved with their newspaper. Along with questions and activities it would be useful as part of an orientation to NIE readers.
