Classified ads and the newspaper

 

  Make a list of all the people you can think of who might have a reason for reading the classified section of the newspaper.
Give at least one reason why each person listed might find the classified section useful.

 

  It is important to be able to scan the classifieds and quickly find exactly what you are looking for. Below is a description
of an item, service, etc. that someone you know might need. Find an advertisement that fills each need listed. Paste the ad
to the other side of this paper.

 

  1. Your mom wants to buy a used washer and does not want to spend more than $100.

 

  2. Your older brother wants to buy a used car not more than five years old.

 

  3. Your grandparents want a used TV for their sun room and do not want to pay more than $50.

 

  4. Your dad says you can have a pure-bred dog if it is less than two years old.

 

  5. Your older sister wants a part-time job for the summer.
